چکیده

As software-intensive systems become more pervasive, more and more safety-critical systems are being developed and deployed. Yet when most people think about safety requirements, they think of safety-critical functional requirements, which are requirements that have critical safety ramifications if not correctly implemented. However, there are actually four major classifications of safety-related requirements: (1) pure safety requirements, (2) safety-significant requirements, (3) safety constraints, and (4) requirements for safety systems. This paper describes a taxonomy of these different kinds of safetyrelated requirements, and clearly and briefly defines and describes each of the above categories of safety-related requirements.

A Taxonomy of Security-Related Requirements

Safety and security are closely related subtypes of defensibility, another quality factor in a quality model. A Taxonomy of Fallacies in System Safety Arguments

Safety cases are gaining acceptance as assurance vehicles for safety-related systems. A safety case documents the evidence and argument that a system is safe to operate; however, logical fallacies in the underlying argument might undermine a system’s safety claims. Removing these fallacies is essential to reduce the risk of safety-related system failure. We present a taxonomy of common fallacie...
